If you are a top-notch, detail-oriented Instructional Designer/ Writer and are looking to join a collaborative team on a full time basis, we may have an opportunity for you... however, we're unusually selective about who we ask to join us.

Responsibilities:

•Work both independently and with close collaboration to develop creative concepts and to drive projects to completion
• Review, edit and produce content from multiple subject matter experts
• Develop high quality web-based courseware
• Practice leadership

Technology:

We do not hire based on a specific list of buzzwords, technologies, or popular acronyms on your resume. Today we use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SugarCRM, & Infowit, Tomorrow we may use something different. Whatever technologies, languages, or software programs you have learned, we expect you have mastered them in depth. And, we expect that you are able to master any technology that we need in the future.

Requirements:

• Your friends and coworkers describe you as a highly organized and productive person. They have a hard time understanding how you get so much done in one day.
• People-oriented, friendly and personable nature
• A “polite, thinking, can do” attitude in the face of obstacles and difficult people
• A keen eye for aesthetics
• You love to work with customers and are not afraid of new technology
• You are a master at juggling multiple complex projects demonstrated by a progressive career of successful roles or a student with a heavy class load
• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proofreaders ask you to check their work!
• A desire to constantly develop new skills
• Permanent legal right to work in the United States
• Available for an in-person interview in Portland, Oregon
• Bachelors' degree, actively working toward a degree, or equivalent work/life experience
• Excellent grades and willing to prove it

Skills

• Practical knowledge of Instructional Design theory and current Instructional Technology standards/tools
• Experience creating professional web-based training based on technical and “soft skills” content (must provide samples)

Desired

*Copywriting skills for marketing materials – web pages, news releases, white papers, articles, etc.
* Experience with SEO techniques
* Project Management skills
* Familiarity with existing courseware libraries such as NetG / Skillsoft
* Accomplished presentation skills, including development and delivery
